For the 21st year, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is partnering with Coats for Kids. Help keep children and their families warm this winter by donating brand-new (or like-new) coats in all sizes (infant to adult) to your local Howard Hanna office. Coats collected and funds raised will benefit children living in Northeast Ohio.
You may drop off your donations at my office located at 3550 Lander Center in Pepper Pike.
History of Coats for Kids
2018 marks the 37th anniversary of Coats for Kids – Cleveland, which was started in 1981 by local radio station employees when they realized that a large number of children were missing school in the winter because they did not have warm coats. That November, Coats for Kids – Cleveland was founded and the radio station began soliciting donations of like new, gently worn coats and cash donations to purchase new coats. Since that initial campaign, thanks to monetary and coat donations, hundreds of thousands of new and like-new coats have been distributed to children (ages 0-18) in need throughout northeast Ohio.
What Kinds of Coats are Needed?
Please donate warm, winter coats in all sizes – infant to adult! Some children wear adult sizes. When donating, ask yourself, “Would I want my child to wear this coat?” We ask that you contribute new or like -new coats only.
2018 Coat Collection Campaign
The official campaign begins in early November with the activation of collections bins in area malls, at Howard Hanna offices and other locations. Before the drive ends in late December, our goal is to purchase and/or collect at least 20,000 coats!
