According to Realtor Magazine, home offices are expected to become a hot amenity for the long term. As most people continue to work from home the value of a home office has never been more evident. Among those who are suddenly working from home, they report that the top challenges were finding a private or quiet location away from high-traffic living areas (30%), securing a computer with a strong wi-fi connection (25%) and having a comfortable workspace (25%).
As a result we are advising our future sellers, as they ready their homes for sale, to carve out a work from home space if they don’t already have a dedicated den/study. Things to consider…natural lighting, storage, electrical outlets, and privacy.
Take a look at how Karen has transformed her living room with a sleek sofa table that serves as a desk when she works from home. She loves the lighting during the day. And we all know how good natural lighting is for those Zoom meetings!
